Alexandria historical mosques drowning in water

Mohamed Metwally, the general manager of the north coast’s Islamic, Coptic and Jewish monuments, said on Monday that the historical mosques in Alexandria are flooded, denying, however, that some minarets or sections of the mosques have been destroyed.

An official from the Antiquities Ministry in Alexandria said the ministry’s stores and warehouses were not affected by the rain.
