Alexandria port authorities have decided to keep the Alexandria and Dekheila straits closed to navigation for the second day in a row due to bad weather, increased wind speed and increased wave heights.
Acting Alexandria Port Authority head Fatehy Taha announced on Tuesday that the authority decided to close the port to prevent ships from colliding with each other or with the docks.
Alexandria experiences a storm every year around this time, which is accompanied by strong southwesterly winds and a significant decrease in temperature.
