Alexandria seaport authorities decided Thursday to keep the Alexandria and Dekheila straits closed due to bad weather.
Navigational sources said authorities have closed the two straits to prevent ships from colliding. Sources attributed the decision to low visibility, speedy winds and rising waves.
Weather has been unstable in Egypt for two days as temperatures have declined to lower than normal.
