Customs officials at Alexandria’s Dekheila seaport recently confiscated copies of the Holy Quran imported from Iran, as well as bibles imported from Spain for having content that was deemed inaccurate.
The Qurans were meant for a bookstore in Cairo, authorities said.
They added that copies of the bible were sent for review by the Coptic Orthodox Church, which confirmed the contents were distorted, hence their disposal at the seaport.
