Alamein Festival targets one million visitors

The CEO of POD Egypt Amr al-Feki – a public relations and events management agency and part of the UMS group – announced Tuesday that the Alamein Festival targets one million visitors from Egypt and all over the Arab world.

The festival comes to promote urban growth in the city of New al-Alamein, he explained.

Once, he said, no one had imagined ever setting foot on this land due to the mines left behind in the World Wars, but determination of the political leadership, the region was transformed into the largest coast on the Mediterranean Sea.

Feki continued “Therefore, we, in the United Company, thought of holding a different entertainment festival between sports, art, and interactive activities, in order to reflect the extent of development that took place here.”

“The festival is an enjoyable experience. UMS’s interest comes from its interest in economic support for the country and stimulating domestic and foreign tourism in terms of artistic activities to contribute to economic enhancement. The most famous musicians in the world will participate in the festival, and we hope to contribute to the development of the economic and urban renaissance,” he concluded.

The New Alamein City will host the largest entertainment event in the Middle East.

The first activities of the festival are scheduled to begin on July 13 and continue throughout the summer.

Local media reports said that the festival includes many artistic and sports events, as well as exhibitions and entertainment shows.

International teams and federations for different sports will also participate in the festival’s sports events, in addition to concerts by the most prominent artists of the Arab world and at the international level.

Events and activities will be held in three main areas throughout the city around the clock, with all public services available at the highest international standards.
