Alaa Mubarak provokes controversy over 9/11 attacks

Alaa Mubarak, the son of late Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak, sparked widespread controversy, on Monday, after posting a video clip on September 2001 attacks.

In the video there is American David Ray Griffin, known for his writings contradicting the prevailing narrative of the September 2001 attacks in the United States.

Alaa Mubarak published the video clip that was initially posted on the Tik Tok application, and wondered: “Was 9/11 an inside job!”

During the video, David Ray Griffin says that the 9/11 attacks were manipulated to serve an American agenda for hegemony in the Middle East.

Griffin has promoted theories and writings regarding the September 11 attacks as a “conspiracy,” CNN Arabic reported.

The September 11 attacks killed 2,977 people in New York City, Washington, D.C., and outside Shanksville, Pennsylvania.

At that time, 19 men hijacked four American commercial planes that were bound for destinations on the West Coast. Al-Qaeda was accused of masterminding the attacks.
