The Twitter account of the Qatari broadcaster Al-Jazeera has been returned after being suspended by the website.
“The official account of Al-Jazeera has been returned back,” it said on its account on Saturday.
Number of the followers has went to less than 1,000 followers, down from around 11 million followers being suspension.
Earlier on Saturday, the official account showed a message saying that the account was closed. Yasser abu Hilala, head of the Qatari channel, said the account was suspended, adding that the administration of the channel is working on the issue. Another account of the network described this as “organized campaign”
Other accounts of the channel’s shows on Twitter, including that of “Bila Hodoud” show, presented by Ahmed Mansour and Al-Muqabala, presented by Ali al-Zufeiry, were also suspended.
According to Twitter, Bila Houdoud’s account was suspended due to “abusive behaviour”
