Budapest International Airport announced that the low-cost Egyptian company Air Cairo has taken nearly 40,000 one-way seats to Egypt from next year’s reservations.
Air Cairo has therefore obtained 16 percent of the total weekly seats across all routes at the airport, and will carry its passengers on board its fleet of 180-seat A320s and 110-seat E190s.
This came after the launch of the company’s first flights from Budapest International Airport to Hurghada Airport on December 23, with a weekly flight increasing to two flights per week starting from March 29, 2023.
The company is scheduled to start organizing trips to Italy, starting from March 20, 2023, between Hurghada- Milan Malpensa Airport, with a weekly flight and another between Hurghada and Naples.
The Airline Development Director of Budapest Airport Balázs Bogáts comments: “After a three-year hiatus, it’s wonderful to see Air Cairo join us again at Budapest with another link to the popular destination of Hurghada. Our latest partner will offer fantastic opportunities for the ever-growing number of Egyptian tourists visiting us every year while also allowing the many Hungarians travelling to Egypt to experience the stunning Red Sea coast.”
Air Cairo operates scheduled flights to the Middle East and Europe, and also operates charter flights to Egypt from Europe on behalf of tour operators.
