Air Cairo will open flights from Alexandria and Assiut to Riyadh, to serve those working in Saudi Arabia and the Gulf.
Yasser al-Ramly, the head of Air Cairo, said the airline decided to operate seven flights from Alexandria and Assiut to Riyad after the success of direct flights from Alexandria, Assiut and Sohag to Jeddah and Kuwait City. He said Air Cairo also plans to expand and develop their network in the Gulf.
Ramly said the airline will have 45 weekly regular flights, after operating the new flights to Riyadh. Four Air Cairo flights operate between Alexandria and Kuwait each week, and five flights between Alexandria and Jeddah. Five flights operate between Sohag International Airport and Kuwait, and eight flights shuttle between Assiut and Kuwait, Jeddah and Riyadh.
Fathy Atteya, the commercial director of the company, said, “Five weekly flights will operate between Riyadh and Alexandria on Fridays, Sundays, Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, at departure and arrival times that suit customers of Alexandria and Delta.
The company also offer prices that start at LE799, with taxes included. Two weekly flights will operated on Saturdays and Tuesdays from Assiut to Riyadh, to serve customers in Upper Egypt.”
