Ahmed Ezz begins filming his first scenes in “al-Ikhtiyar 3”

The Egyptian actor Ahmed Ezz started filming his first scenes in the series “al-Ikhtiyar 3” (The Choice Part III),  directed by Peter Mimi and is to be shown in the month of Ramadan 2022.

The series also has two other stars; Ahmed al-Sakka and Karim Abdel Aziz.

Al-Ikhtiyar is a critically acclaimed work that has overcome many hurdles especially over the past two years with filming which presented many difficulties due to the pandemic.

The first part starred Amir Karara, and the second part, by the two stars Karim Abdel Aziz and Ahmed Makki. This year the series starting Ahmed Ezz.

The series will be the largest series produced in Egyptian and Arab drama, as it brings together Egyptian and Arab stars in one work with magnificent large battle scenes with participation from the Egyptian armed forces and police.

The third season of “al-Ikhtiyar”, is set to feature an ensemble array of starts such as Yasser Galal, who will portray President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, and Sabry Fawaz who will play the role of late President Mohamed Morsi. The third season goes over events in Egypt following the January 25 revolution, and what occurred under the Muslim Brotherhood and Morsi.

The crises highlighted in the series is what affected Egypt during that period and led to public anger against the Muslim Brotherhood rule, which ended with the outbreak of the June 30 revolution and the announcement of Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, who was the Minister of Defense and Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces at the time, a road map that included Morsi’s overthrow, the suspension of the Constitution which was ratified under Morsi, and the appointment of Adly Mansour as an interim president.

The series is expected to provoke controversy due to landmark events it will cover, including Morsi’s presence as a character.
