Ahly Sports Club sent a list of players for the African Champions League competitions of 2016 to the African Football Confederation (CAF) on Thursday.
The list contained 30 players, most notably the squad’s captain Hossam Ghali and veterans Hossam Ashour and Emad Mete’b. Gabonese Malick Evouna and Ghanaian John Antwi are also included.
Ahly won its latest champions league title in 2013, beating South Africa’s Orlando Pirates. It holds a total of eight titles from that championship.
