The Al-Ahly Sporting Club has responded to the wish of an injured Palestinian child, who suffered disfiguring burns to his face as a result of the ongoing assault on Gaza and asked to meet the club.
In a clip shared across social media the Palestinian child, named Ali, asked to travel to Egypt with his family and receive treatment there.
Ali also expressed his wish to visit Al-Ahly Club and meet goalkeeper Shenawy.
Ahly’s official account on the “X” platform responded to the young boy’s wish, conveying a statement by the club’s CEO which reads: “The message of our son Ali has arrived and is of great interest to Al-Ahly’s Board of Directors.”
And a member of the Ahly Club’s Board of Directors, Mohamed al-Garhi, wrote on his official Facebook account: “Oh Ali, your voice is heard.”
“Ahly T-shirt and Ahly gloves signed by Captain Mohamed el-Shenawy and the players will come to you, God willing, with the nearest convoy of the National Alliance, and God willing, you will be relieved.”
“I will, God willing, get you a permission to come to Egypt, complete your treatment, and visit Ahly Club. Hold on to your dreams as you hold on to your land and the cause of your country, and we are always with you,” Garhi assured.
