Egyptian Minister of Youth and Sports Ashraf Sobhi called on all national football fans to reject fanaticism and behave calmly, ahead of the CAF Champions League final.
The finale is expected on November 27 and will witness Cairo’s most anticipated derby between the Ahly and Zamalek clubs.
This African Champions League final between the two clubs is an unprecedented event in the history of Egyptian and African sports, Sobhi said.
And such an event must see the highest standards in all respects, he added, which Egyptian sports have become accustomed to via hosting and organizing the largest sporting events in recent years.
Sobhi’s remarks came during the opening of the courts of the industrial grass company owned by the ministries of youth, sports and military production CAPTEX, at the headquarters of the industrial grass company owned by the two ministries on Joseph Tito Road in Hykstep.
Egypt is ready to host the event through all its sports facilities, which is one of the state’s more recent gains.
