Egypt secured a semi-final berth in the Africa Cup of Nations against Senegal after defeating Ivory Coast 3-2 in their quarter-final match on Saturday evening.
The match took place at the Adrar Stadium in Rabat, Morocco.
Egypt’s goals were scored by Omar Marmoush, Rami Rabia, and Mohamed Salah in the fourth, 32nd, and 52nd minutes, respectively.
Ivory Coast’s goals came from an own goal by Egypt’s left-back, Ahmed Fatouh, in the 40th minute, and a strike by Guéla Doué in the 73rd minute.
Egypt and Senegal are scheduled to meet in the semi-finals on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at 7:00 PM Cairo time.
