A member of the Egyptian Meteorological Authority’s media office Manar Ghanem said that the weather on Monday will see more drops in temperatures, falling by three degrees with Cairo having a maximum of 25C.

These temperature drops are expected to continue until Friday, with wind activity in the afternoon especially in the late hours of the night and early morning.

During a phone-in with Good Morning Egypt TV show Ghanem said that starting from Saturday, there will be a gradual rise in temperatures reaching 31C on Saturday.

By Sunday there will be a further rise between 36C and 37C, with a heatwave expected for 72 hours after which the temperatures will return to normal, Ghanem explained.

“From Sunday, we will begin to be affected by southwestern air masses, with active wind, blowing up dust and sand,” she added.
