Activists form ‘Our Egypt’ movement to push revolution goals

Wael Ghonim, former Google executive and the creator of the "We are all Khaled Saeed" Facebook page, as well as other activists are establishing an "Our Egypt" movement to pursue the reforms at the heart of the nation's revolution.

Cairo University political science professor Moataz Abdel Fattah, Salafi activist Khaled Mansour, director and screenwriter Mohamed Diab, activist Wael Khalil and Islamic preacher Moez Massoud are among those participating in the movement.

The group plans to increase political participation among Egyptians, build consensus among political groups and pressure decision makers to push revolution goals forward.

Mohamed Omar, a movement spokesperson, said Our Egypt  will cooperate with all political groups and powers to mobilize efforts for an Egyptian renaissance. Initially the group will focus on organizing, introducing itself and recruiting members, he said.
