Mohamed al-Beltagy, a former MP and member of the Freedom and Justice Party's executive office, denied, the rumors that he is to be appointed for a major post by Mohamed Morsy on his Facebook account on Sunday afternoon.
"I assert that this news is not only invalid, but it also contradicts with the role I chose for myself in this stage, which is to stay in the wide area that allows me to [work] with everyone, to deepen the [effects] of the national project, to broaden the base of national consensus, and to maintain the revolutionary momentum that guarantees the stability and success of the national project," he wrote.
"I am also looking forward to the time when I go back to my students at the university, my patients at the hospital, and the people of my electoral area, as well as my children and my family," he added. "I have been deprived from all that for a long time. This is not, I say, a disappearance from the national concerns that will accompany us as long as we live, and it will remain a priority above all priorities, but this is an aspiration and a hope for a time [when] the success of our national project will be settled, and we can be able to get back to our normal happy lives."
