Presidential hopeful Amr Moussa on Saturday called on Egypt's ruling military council to set a time frame for elections and the drafting of a new constitution.
In a post on Twitter, Moussa urged the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces to set a specific timeline for the handover of power and the new constitution to dispel any suspicions regarding the council's intentions.
Moussa, the former secretary general of the Arab League, had earlier called for unity to protect the revolution.
“I call on all national powers to bravely and freely express their opinions on what is happening and to come together to protect the revolution and Egypt’s path to a secure future for all of its citizens," Moussa had said.
