The average price of beef has dropped from LE59.61 per kilogram in February to LE55.61in March, a decrease of 6.7 percent, an Egyptian government report revealed Wednesday.
Meanwhile, the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics report on food prices said the average price for a kilogram of tomatoes almost doubled in March.
The average price of tilapia jumped 7.8 percent to LE13.78 a kilo in March, and rice prices have also increased to LE3.8 per kilo, up from LE3.53 in February.
