Islamic preacher Amr Khaled is preparing to form a political party.
Khaled is relying on the youth who have volunteered for his development project, “The Life Makers.”
He had suggested the idea of a party on his website and asked the youth to come up with ideas for it. The 190 responses he received over three days ranged between accepting and rejecting the idea.
Supporters of the idea called on Khaled to run in the next presidential elections.
“I will discuss the idea of a political party with the youth in a conference on Sunday,” he said.
