Secretary General of the Arab League Amr Moussa denied news reports claiming he intends to run in Egypt's presidential election. Moussa told CNN he has yet to make up his mind, as it is too early for a final decision.
State-run news agency MENA reported on Sunday that Moussa intends to run for president and quoted him as saying he will announce this officially at an appropriate moment.
Asked about the identity of the new Secretary General of the Arab League, MENA reported, Moussa said a new Egyptian figure will very soon fill the role.
A constitution amendment commission announced its proposed amendments on Sunday, which mainly address conditions for candidacy, limits to presidential terms and judicial supervision of elections.
