Secretary General for the Arab League Amr Moussa said he will wait until the Constitution is amended–or a new constitution is drawn–before deciding whether to run in the coming presidential election.
Moussa was speaking at a meeting with members from the 6 April Movement on Saturday at the Arab League.
Asmaa Mahfouz, one of the members of the 6 April Movement who attended the meeting, said that they discussed the Mubarak era with Moussa and agreed on the importance of adhering to the principles of democracy and reform after an interim government is formed.
Official sources from the Arab League linked Moussa’s statements about his resignation from the Arab League to his intention to run for presidency.
