Rattled Israel holds security talks to discuss Egypt, Tunisia developments

Israel is holding a four-day security conference to discuss current events in the Middle East, especially those pertaining to Egypt and Tunisia.

A spokesman for the conference, which began Sunday in Herzliya near Tel Aviv, said that the agenda of the scheduled meeting had been changed due to rapidly unfolding events in a number of Arab countries, especially in Tunisia and Egypt.

Attending the conference are NATO Secretary-General Anders Fogh Rasmussen; UK Defense Secretary Liam Fox; Israeli President Shimon Peres; Israeli Chief-of-Staff Gabi Ashiknazi; and opposition leader and former Israeli Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni.
