Firefighters were able to extinguish a small fire that broke out at Cairo International Airport, minutes after it started on Tuesday.
The fire, which broke out on the upper floor of Terminal 1, was caused by an electrical short circuit inside one of the flight billboards at the airport, according to a source at the airport.
This led to the emission of dense smoke which alarmed some passengers, said the source, who added that no losses were incurred.
