Strait of Hormuz will not be opened, Iranian official stresses

A member of Iran’s Expediency Discernment Council, Mohsen Rezaei, said on Saturday that the Strait of Hormuz will not be opened and emphasized that “no American ship has the right to pass through it,” the Tasnim News Agency reported.

Rezaei added, “The end of the war is in our hands, and we will not consider ending the war until we receive, firstly, full compensation for all our damages from the US, and secondly, a complete guarantee for the future, which is impossible without the withdrawal of the US from the Arabian Gulf.”

Iranian Armed Forces spokesperson Brigadier General Abolfazl Shekarchi has said that the USS Abraham Lincoln, the largest US aircraft carrier, is now out of service thanks to Iran’s power.

“Do not trust America’s fragile power, which cannot even defend its own shaky army and will not be able to provide security for Islamic countries and the region.”
