EgyptAir extends indefinite flight suspensions to 11 cities

Egypt’s national carrier, EgyptAir, has announced an indefinite suspension of all flights from Cairo to several major regional hubs as the conflict in the Middle East continues to escalate.

The suspension affects key routes to Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Beirut, Doha, Amman, Dammam, Bahrain, Baghdad, Erbil, and Kuwait. Airline officials stated that the decision remains in effect “until further notice,” citing the deteriorating security situation which has compromised airspace safety across multiple neighboring countries.

The airline’s Integrated Operations Control Center (IOCC) is currently operating in “emergency mode,” monitoring real-time developments in coordination with international aviation authorities and regional stations. EgyptAir emphasized that the move is strictly a safety precaution designed to protect passengers and crew from potential risks in the volatile regional corridor.

Passengers currently booked on affected flights are urged to contact the airline immediately to manage their reservations. Assistance is available via the EgyptAir call center (1717 within Egypt), through their website, or by visiting the nearest ticketing office.
