Dropping temperatures, rainfall across Egypt for Wednesday: EMA

The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) forecasts a continued drop in temperatures across most parts of the country on Wednesday, with cool weather expected in the early morning and moderate temperatures during the day.

Wind activity is expected in some areas, increasing the coldness.

Mist is expected from four am to nine am on various roads leading to and from northern Egypt, including Greater Cairo, northern Upper Egypt, and central Sinai.

Weather maps indicate a chance of moderate to heavy, sometimes thundery, rainfall in parts of the governorates of Alexandria, Beheira, Kafr al-Sheikh, Daqahliya, Damietta, Port Said, Gharbiya, Menoufia, Sharqiya, and the Suez Canal cities.

Flash floods may be likely in parts of Sinai.

There is also a chance of light to moderate rain in parts of Greater Cairo, the Gulf of Suez, northern Upper Egypt, and parts of Matrouh Governorate at intervals.

Wind activity is expected across most of the country at intervals.

Rain is expected to continue in northern Egypt and parts of Greater Cairo, with generally cool weather.

Thunderstorms may be accompanied hail in some areas, strong winds due to downdrafts from the thunderstorms, and lightning strikes.
