Sisi: State committed to qualifying young people for ICT outsourcing job market

CAIRO, Nov 10 (MENA) – President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi affirmed the state’s commitment to qualifying young people for ICT outsourcing job market.

Sisi made the remarks during a meeting on Monday with heads and business leaders of 52 major Egyptian and international outsourcing companies involved in the ICT industry, on the margins of their participation in the Global Outsourcing Summit, hosted by Egypt on November 9-10.

Emphasizing the state’s keenness on developing a clear-cut and consistent national digital and ICT strategy, Sisi highlighted the need for creating executive policies specific to this sector, and setting achievable goals by establishing schools, universities, and institutes specializing in this field.

He also stressed the importance of coordination and cooperation with relevant international universities.

The state is making every effort to qualify young men and women to play an effective role in this domain, Sisi said, noting that the state has recognized its slow progress in this industry.

However, the state has achieved positive results after working for years to keep pace with the global growth of this important industry, Sisi pointed out, stressing the need for more efforts at deeper levels. (MENA)
