
The UAE Pro League announced that the Egyptian Super Cup, which concluded Sunday in Abu Dhabi, garnered over one billion views through media coverage and digital engagement across various television channels, media outlets, and social media platforms worldwide.
The league issue a statement saying: “This edition of the tournament became an exceptional event that captivated Arab and international football fans, thanks to the outstanding organization and the fantastic atmosphere created by the fans at the matches held at Mohammed bin Zayed, Al Nahyan, and Hazza bin Zayed stadiums.”
The tournament featured Al Ahly, who ultimately won it, along with Zamalek, Pyramids FC, and Ceramica Cleopatra FC.
The UAE hosted the event for the ninth time.
Ahly secured their 16th Egyptian Super Cup title after defeating Zamalek 2-0 in the final match held Sunday evening at the Mohammed bin Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi.
Ahly’s goals were scored by Achraf Bencharki and Marwan Attia in the 44th and 72nd minutes, respectively, after a dominant performance against Zamalek.
