Discover which world leaders are attending the Grand Egyptian Museum opening

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi will preside over the inauguration of the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM) on Saturday.

The event is hailed as an exceptional milestone in the history of culture and human civilization.

The opening ceremony is scheduled to host 79 official delegations, including 39 delegations led by reigning monarchs, princes, and presidents or heads of government.

The official spokesperson for the Presidency announced the attendance of monarchs, queens, crown princes, princes, and members of ruling families from the following nations: Belgium, Spain, Denmark, Jordan, Bahrain, the Sultanate of Oman, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Luxembourg, Monaco, Japan, and Thailand.

Additionally, presidents from the following countries will participate: Djibouti, Somalia, Palestine, Portugal, Armenia, Germany, Croatia, Cyprus, Albania, Bulgaria, Colombia, Equatorial Guinea, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Ghana, Eritrea, and the Sovereign Military Order of Malta (Knights of Malta).

The Chairman of the Libyan Presidential Council and the head of the Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council are also set to attend.

According to the official spokesperson for Egypt’s presidency, Mohamed al-Shenawy, the prime ministers of the following countries will also be participating in the opening ceremony: Greece, Hungary, Belgium, the Netherlands, Kuwait, Lebanon, Luxembourg, and Uganda.

This high-level attendance is complemented by senior ministerial and parliamentary representatives from: Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Algeria, Qatar, Morocco, Tunisia, Switzerland, Sweden, Finland, Slovakia, Austria, the United Kingdom, France, the Vatican, Malta, Romania, Russia, Ireland, Serbia, Turkey, Italy, Singapore, India, Kyrgyzstan, China, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Zambia, Angola, Côte d’Ivoire, Cameroon, South Africa, Gabon, Chad, Kenya, Rwanda, Togo, Brazil, Canada, and the US.
