FM, Rwandan counterpart ink mutual visa exemption agreement

Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty and his Rwandan counterpart Olivier Nduhungirehe signed Saturday a mutual visa exemption agreement for holders of official passports.

The agreement was signed on the sidelines of the ministers’ participation in the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA 80) in New York, following through with the outcomes of the joint summit between President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and his Rwandan counterpart Paul Kagame during the latter’s visit to Egypt last week.

In statement following the signing ceremony, Abdelatty hailed the growing momentum in bilateral relations, stressing his keenness to maintain joint coordination to intensify cooperation at economic, commercial, and developmental levels, in such manner that serves mutual interests and supports development and stability efforts in Africa.
