Spanish cabinet approves complete arms embargo on Israel

The Spanish Cabinet approved a royal decree on Tuesday legally approving a “complete” arms embargo on Israel.

This comes two weeks after the approval of the remaining measures announced by Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez in response to Israel’s genocide in the Gaza Strip.

Spanish Minister of Economy and Trade Carlos Cuerpo, in a press conference on Tuesday with government spokesperson Pilar Alegría, explained that this royal decree represents further evidence of the political commitment of the government and Spain’s leadership to achieving a just and lasting peace in the region.
