Temperatures across Egypt continue gradually dropping on Monday, as autumn begins

The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) predicts temperatures across the country to continue to gradually drop on Monday, the first day of autumn.

The authority explained that this drop will bring some much-needed refreshment after the harsh summer heat.

Light rain is also expected in several areas.

The weather will be humid and hot during the day in Monday, while moderate weather will prevail at night.

Chances of light rain on the northwestern coasts and some areas of northern Lower Egypt.

Active winds are also expected in South Sinai, where they may stir up sand and dust in the city of Halayeb. The EMA advised caution when driving in these areas.

  • Alexandria: 30C
  • Cairo: 32C
  • Hurghada: 35C
  • Sharm El-Sheikh: 35C
  • Luxor: 37C
  • Aswan: 38C
