Thirteen consecutive earthquakes hit Turkey in one hour on Thursday

The Euro-Mediterranean Seismological Center announced Thursday that Turkey experienced 13 consecutive earthquakes within a 60-minute period.

  • The first earthquake struck western Turkey with a magnitude of approximately 1.3 on the Richter scale.
  • The second earthquake also hit western Turkey, with a magnitude of approximately 1.0 on the Richter scale.
  • The third earthquake, which hit western Turkey, had a magnitude of approximately 2.0 on the Richter scale.
