The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) has revealed the expected weather conditions for the nation, warning that a rise in relative humidity is a key factor significantly influencing the intensity of the coming heatwave.
The Meteorological Authority warned that a rise in temperatures is expected to start this Saturday across all regions, ending the period of moderate summer weather.
The felt temperature in Cairo is expected to reach 39C during the daytime next Monday, while temperatures in Upper Egypt are forecast to reach a high of 45C.
On Thursday, the temperatures for Greater Cairo are expected to reach a high of 35C and a low of 25C.
A noticeable increase in relative humidity is currently spreading across wide areas in northern Egypt. This humidity contributes to the formation of fog during the late-night and early-morning hours over bodies of water, agricultural lands, and open roads, which may occasionally become a light fog in some of these areas.
