Temperatures across Egypt continue to drop, with coastal rain

The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) revealed a continued decrease in temperatures in most parts of the country, with disturbances in maritime navigation in the Mediterranean Sea, the Red Sea, and the Gulf of Suez.

The EMA predicted that moderate weather will prevail for Thursday in the northern parts of the country up to northern Upper Egypt, with warmer weather in southern Upper Egypt and cold weather at night in most areas.

The EMA warned of disturbances in maritime navigation in the Mediterranean Sea, with wind speeds ranging from 50 to 70 km/h and wave heights from three to five meters, while wind speeds in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Suez will range to 50 to 70 km/h with wave heights from 2.5 to four meters.

Weather maps revealed light to moderate rainfall in areas of the northeastern coasts, with light rainfall in the northwestern coasts and northern Lower Egypt at intermittent intervals.

Wind activity is expected across all parts of the country, potentially stirring up sand and dust in southern regions and South Sinai at intermittent intervals.
