Rescue teams are on an ongoing search for a fisherman who remains missing after a boat sank near Aswan’s Al-Ramadi village on Wednesday.
The Aswan Civil Protection authorities were notified that a “felucca” fishing boat was reported sinking in front of the Ezbet El-Nakhl area, belonging to the Al-Ramadi village in the Edfu district.
Initial reports suggest the boat capsized due to high waves generated by a passing floating hotel.
Despite one person’s survival, another remains missing, with authorities still conducting an intensified search.
