Egypt announces its roster for Ethiopia and Sierra Leone matches

Egyptian national team coach Hossam Hassan on Saturday announced Egypt’s roster for the March training camp in preparation for the upcoming matches against Ethiopia and Sierra Leone in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.

The Egyptian national football team is preparing for two matches in the fifth and sixth rounds of the World Cup qualifiers.

Egypt will face Ethiopia on March 21 in Morocco, before facing Sierra Leone on March 25 at the Cairo International Stadium.

The Pharaohs currently top Group A of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers with 10 points from four matches, including three wins over Djibouti, Burkina Faso, and Sierra Leone, and a goalless draw against Guinea-Bissau.

The Egyptian national team roster:

  • Goalkeepers: Mohamed al-Shenawy, Mohamed Awad, Mostafa Shobeir , and Abdel-Aziz al-Balaouty.
  • Defenders: Mohamed Hany, Ahmed Eid, Mohamed Abdel-Moneim, Ramy Rabiaa, Khaled Sobhi, Hossam Abdel-Majeed, and Ahmed Nabil Kouka.
  • Midfielders: Marawan Attia, Mohamed Shehata, Hamdy Fathy, Nabil Emad Dunga, Mahmoud Saber, Ahmed Sayed Zizo, Mahmoud Hassan Trezeguet, Omar Marmoush, Ibrahim Adel.
  • Forwards: Mohamed Salah, Mostafa Fathy, Mostafa Mohamed, Osama Faisal.
