Warmer weather across Egypt on Monday

The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) expects temperatures to continue rising across most of Egypt on Monday, a reprieve to the cold snap experienced in late February.

Cairo will see temperatures measuring 24C during the day, rising in southern Upper Egypt up to 30C.

Monday’s weather will be warm in Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt, and the North Coast, and will tend to be hot in South Sinai, as well as in the southern parts and very cold at night in all parts of the country.

Weather maps showcase morning fog on some agricultural and express roads and roads near water bodies, while winds will be active in areas of Greater Cairo at intermittent intervals.

Waves in the Mediterranean Sea will be light to moderate, ranging from one to 1.75 meters high, and northeastern to southeastern surface winds. Waves in the Red Sea will be moderate to rough, with waves ranging from 1.5 to two meters high, and northeast surface winds.

  • Cairo: 24C
  • Hurghada: 24C
  • Sharm el-Sheikh: 25C
  • Luxor 29C
  • Aswan: 30C
