El Wazir lauded deeply-rooted ties between Egypt and Italy, voicing the ministry’s keenness to cement cooperation with local and international private sectors under the directives of President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi.
Both sides reviewed current discussions between the Transport Ministry and Italy’s state-owned railway holding company ‘Ferrovie dello Stato Italiane’ to run and operate high-speed rail in Egypt and the launch of the Ro-Ro line to connect Egypt with Italy.
The Minister also invited his Italian counterpart to visit Egypt and hold intensive talks to develop a roadmap for further future cooperation between the two countries in different fields.
