
The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) has warned of a severe cold snap on Monday, with cold weather during the day expected in Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt, the North Coast and northern Upper Egypt, and moderate in South Sinai and southern Upper Egypt.
The weather will be very cold at night and in the early morning in most parts, with meteorologists advising that night trips should be postponed for the daytime.
According to the EMA, Monday marks the coldest 24 hours of the cold snap that has gripped Egypt this February, with temperatures recording their lowest rates by nightfall.
Monday also has chances for light to moderate rainfall on areas of the northeastern coasts and northern Lower Egypt at intermittent intervals, with winds being intermittently active as well.
Waves in the Mediterranean Sea will be moderate, ranging from 1.5 to two meters in height, with northwestern to northeastern surface winds. Waves in the Red Sea will be very turbulent, ranging from 2.5 to four meters height, with northwestern surface winds.

- Hurghada: 19C
- Sharm el-Sheikh: 21C
- Luxor: 22C
- Aswan: 21C
