The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) predicts cold weather during the day on Saturday in Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt, the North Coast and northern Upper Egypt, while moderate in South Sinai and southern Upper Egypt.
The weather will be very cold at night and in the early morning across the nation.
The EMA also expects intermittent chances of light to moderate rainfall in parts of the northeastern coasts, extending lightly to the northwestern coasts and northern Lower Egypt.
Winds will be also active in areas of the northern coasts, South Sinai and northern Upper Egypt at intermittent intervals.
The Mediterranean Sea will be highly turbulent, with waves ranging from 2.5 to four meters high, and northwesterly surface winds. The Red Sea will be moderate to turbulent, with waves ranging from two to three meters high, and northwesterly surface winds.
Temperatures expected on Saturday:
- Cairo and Alexandria: 16C
- Hurghada and Sharm el-Sheikh: 21C
- Luxor: 22C
- Aswan: 23C
