The Egyptian military delegation participating in the “IDEX 2025” exhibition in the UAE showed keen interest in Russia’s advanced “Pantsir” missile system, RT Arabic reported.
The Egyptian delegation listened in detail to the missiles belonging to the Russian company “Rostec,” which specializes in air defense for military, administrative, and industrial installations, important areas, and long-range air defense systems against aircraft, helicopters, cruise missiles, high-precision weapons, drones, and rocket launcher munitions.
The missile system is equipped with two dual 30mm cannons and 12 anti-aircraft missiles.
The advanced “Pantsir-SM” systems have received upgrades that include advanced target detection radars, new target tracking radars, and new optoelectronic systems.
These systems can detect small targets at a range of up to 75 kilometers and are equipped with new anti-aircraft missiles that exceed the speed of sound and can hit their targets at a range of up to 40 kilometers.
IDEX 2025, the International Defense Exhibition and Conference, is taking place in Abu Dhabi, UAE, from February 17-21, featuring broad international and Arab participation.
