Egyptian officials killed in car crash at South Sinai

The advisor to the governor of South Sinai for projects in St. Catherine, Talat al-Anany, was killed on Tuesday in a collision accident in St. Catherine.

The assistant governor of South Sinai, Emad Abdel-Rahman Anan, was also killed in the same accident, and the driver of the car sustained serious injuries.

The Youm7 newspaper reported that Anany and Anan were on their way to Morgan Land, and while driving, a truck smashed into them which led to the car being completely destroyed.

Authorities were notified of the incident and the deceased and the injured were transferred to St. Catherine Hospital, to place the bodies in the hospital’s morgue at the disposal of the investigation authorities and treat the survivor.
