Third victim of Mamoura serial killer found

Security services in Alexandria on Friday discovered the body of a woman in an apartment belonging to a lawyer accused of killing and hiding the bodies of two women in the Mamoura area.

The interrogation of the 51 year old suspect revealed a visa card belonging to a woman who had been reported as missing.

The accused admitted that the card was with him when he moved from his previous residence in the Montazah area.

Authorities immediately headed to his previous residence, where it became clear that the suspect had been living there for several years.

With his guidance, the third body was discovered.

The Public Prosecution in Alexandria ordered the transfer of the body to the morgue for a forensic autopsy to determine the cause and date of death.

Investigations found that the suspect had relationships with multiple women and was constantly moving between several apartments to hide the affairs.

Authorities are conducting an inventory of the suspect’s apartments and searching them for further evidence.

The Public Prosecution ordered an urgent forensic report on the autopsy of the bodies, to determine the cause and date of death for each of them.

It also called to urgently issue the criminal evidence report regarding the examination of the crime scene.

The Public Prosecution assigned the police to identify the victims and summon their families to the Public Prosecution office to question them.

It called to urgently complete the final investigations into the incident, and to determine whether there were any accomplices who aided the suspect.

The Public Prosecution is investigating other persons related to the suspect, to determine their connection to the incident, whether by committing the murder or helping the accused in transporting and hiding the bodies.

Authorities has renewed the detention of the accused lawyer for 15 days on charges of premeditated murder pending investigations, before the discovery of the third victim.
