Israeli forces have continued their assault on the West Bank, intensifying its campaign against Jenin city and its camp for the 25th consecutive day.
In that period, up to 25 people were killed so far with dozens injured, alongside widespread destruction of infrastructure and property.
Local sources said that the ongoing assault on the camp forced 20,000 citizens to flee, amid widespread destruction and a stifling humanitarian crisis, as 470 facilities and homes were completely or partially destroyed during the ongoing destruction.
The residents of the camp and the city of Jenin are also suffering from a complete water and electricity outage, and a severe shortage of food and basic needs, especially for children.
Schools and health services have also completely stopped, in addition to Israel’s forces preventing water from reaching four main hospitals, depriving 35 percent of Jenin city’s residents of water.
According to the sources, Israel’s forces arrested 120 citizens from Jenin and its camp, and subjected dozens to field investigations.
It also carried out 153 house raids and 14 air strikes, which led to severe damage to the infrastructure and residential neighborhoods.
Streets raided
Israeli forces on Friday morning stormed the Askar al-Jadeed camp east of Nablus and several neighborhoods of the city, raided houses, and fired gas and sound bombs alongside live bullets.
They also stormed Tunis Street, the Rafidia area and the Academy west of the city, and raided a number of houses with no arrests, including private student housing, and searched them and tampered with their contents.
Local sources said that the occupation forces arrested a minor, Abdullah Manasra, after raiding his house in the eastern neighborhood of Jenin.
On Friday, they stormed the Birzeit town and Abu-Shkhaydam village, north of Ramallah, and fired teargas in the streets, causing citizens to suffocate and arrested a young man, during clashes that erupted after storming the Beita town, south of Nablus.
The Beita town was also subjected to repeated attacks by Israeli forces and settlers, following the forcible establishment of the “Avitar” colonial outpost on citizen lands at the top of Mount Sabih.
The occupation forces also raided on Friday Hizma town, northeast of Jerusalem, and seized about 20 vehicles.
The Palestinian National Council condemned the settler attacks, led by an extremist minister who resigned from the Israeli government, Itamar Ben Gvir, on Palestinian lands in the village of al-Minya, east of Bethlehem.
It said in a Friday statement that these attacks constitute a dangerous escalation of forced displacement and colonial expansion, which aim to erase all presence of Palestinians and impose a new colonial reality.
It warned that the settlers’ seizure of wheat and barley crops, and their attacks on farmers and shepherds, are part of a systematic policy aimed at emptying the land of its indigenous inhabitants.
