US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said that his country will give Arab countries a chance to come up with a plan regarding Gaza. The US Secretary of State indicated that Arab partners will meet soon and then return to us with a plan for Gaza.
Rubio continued: “If Arab countries have a better plan for Gaza, that would be good,” according to a breaking news report from Cairo News Channel.
He added: “We hope that Arab countries have a better plan than relocating Palestinians outside of Gaza, and it is good to continue working on the ceasefire agreement in Gaza.”
He further stated: “Ultimately, we will need to know what will happen in Gaza, and we will look at the plan that Arab countries will present regarding Gaza and see what its contents are.”
The US Secretary of State concluded: “We will give Arab countries the opportunity to present a plan for Gaza, and I believe they are working in good faith with the United States, but any plan that allows Hamas to remain in power will take us back to where things were.”
