The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) predicts that the nation will see weather fluctuations until Friday, including a drop in temperatures and active winds that stir up dust, and fog.
A member of the EMA’s Media Center, Manar Ghanem said that the fluctuating weather conditions will start on Wednesday, with active winds at speeds between 35 and 50 kilometers per hour.
In a telephone interview with TV host Ahmed Moussa on the “By My Responsibility” show, Ghanem added that in the Mediterranean Sea, winds may reach 80 kilometers per hour, negatively impacting navigation.
Ghanem said that temperatures will drop by three to four degrees Celsius starting Wednesday, reaching less than 17C during the day, with very cold weather at night with temperatures falling below 10C.
She explained that there will be a drop in temperatures, with active winds starting Wednesday afternoon.until Thursday.
She added that fog will appear starting Friday, and warned citizens to stay away from trees, lampposts, billboards and buildings, wear heavy clothing, while those with respiratory issues must take further caution.
