A massive fire broke out on Sunday in a hotel in the center of Edfu city, north of Aswan Governorate in Upper Egypt.
The Edfu Police Station and Civil Protection in Aswan received a notification on the fire, and civil defense and ambulances were immediately dispatched to the site of the report.
Preliminary inspections found that the fire broke out on the top floors of the multi-story hotel in the center of Edfu, with intense flames rising into the city sky.
Several fire engines were dispatched to the scene of the fire and civil defense forces extinguished the fire and prevented it from spreading to neighboring buildings.
A case was filed on the incident, and the Public Prosecution was notified to further investigate.
