Four million visitors to Cairo International Book Fair in 9 days

The 56th Cairo International Book Fair (CIBF) saw a huge public presence on Saturday, February 1 with 465,475 visitors, bringing the total number of visitors during nine consecutive days so far to 4,030,909 since the edition first began.

On Saturday, the exhibition witnessed intensive trips for political party members, and trips organized by the Secretariat of the Nation’s Future Party and some universities from Egypt governorates.

The CIBF on Saturday was filled with a variety of important events that achieved great public popularity, including hosting Badr Abdelatty, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration and Egyptian Expatriates Affairs, in a session, during which he addressed the Egyptian state’s vision regarding current issues.

The book fair also hosted writer Ahmed al-Maslamani, the head of the National Media Authority, who spoke about paths related to developing the Egyptian media system achieves the state’s development goals.

In addition, there will be a variety of cultural art shows on the Plaza I and Plaza II stages.

The activities of the 56th session of Cairo International Book Fair come under the generous patronage of President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, under the slogan: “Read… In the beginning was the word”, and will continue until February 5, at the Egypt International Exhibition Center.
